This mic stand has it.
Typically, nothing hangs down from a boom arm of a mic stand. The stand in the picture has a pivoted boom arm extension fitted to allow a microphone to be suspended vertically.
Personally, I'd extend the main support on my standard mic stand to its maximum height and angle the boom arm downwards, using adjustment in the mic holder to make the microphone vertical if that was what was needed. The drawback in my arrangement would be the high centre of gravity, making it more likely that the stand might be knocked over which could seriously damage a ribbon microphone. Luckily, I don't use any.
